PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS SELECTION!

‘Absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for my fourth Olympic Games at the upcoming Paris Olympics with Maurice.

So pleased and grateful for all my support team who work so hard to help me achieve these goals.

A huge thanks to the owners and partners of all my horses particularly the Stoute family and all at Keysoe International.

I’m really looking forward to the challenge and know that along with my team mates we are very focused on delivering a big result…’

FOR TEAM IRELAND…
Cian O’Connor represents three Nations Cups in the month of June!

Great month for Team Ireland in the Nations Cups Circuits. Fancy De Kergane & Cian O’Connor jumped Double Clear alongside Max Wachman & Kilkenny and Tom Wachman & Cathalina, were part of the 2nd Place finish Nations Cup Team at CSIO3* Roeser.

Eve D’Ouilly & Cian O’Connor were part of the CSIO5* Nations Cup team in Rotterdam that helped Team Ireland be victors of the overall Longines League of Nations Standings.

Lastly, Cian O’Connor & Fancy De Kergane jumped Double Clear in the CSIO3* Nations Cup of Prague, to help Team Ireland Place 2nd.

‘This competition is about ensuring good horsemanship remains at the core of everything we do and rewarding those who do it best. Finding good quality staff is one of the major challenges facing our industry presently.

Grooms who excel at their work must be acknowledged and rewarded and there is no place better to do it than at the RDS Dublin Horse Show. While it is undoubtedly a very fulfilling profession for those with a passion for horses, grooming also offers many possibilities for those with a good work ethic and who are interested in professional progression. Our two judges are a case in point, they both dedicated many years and excelled in the profession.’

YR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP SELECTION…
Max and Tom Wachman are selected to represent Team Ireland in the Young Rider European Championships

Team Manager Kernan said: ‘Our teams have been very successful all year with wins in the Children On Horses and Junior categories in the FEI Youth Nations Cup Series, and the Young Riders have also been showing great form on the international stage – we are really looking forward to competing.

I would like to thank everybody involved, especially the parents and sponsors for their unwavering support.’

YOUNG HORSE HIGHLIGHT…

‘Karlswood rider Tobias Kuhlage under the direction of Beth Underhill has jumped incredible clears over the last few weeks in the 7/8yo RDS Qualifier classes with 7yo Checkmate by former ride of Cian O’Connor: Checkter’.

ROUND OF THE MONTH…
Fermoy jumped his first CSIO5* Grand Prix and placed 6th!

‘Thrilled with Fermoy jumping two great Clear Rounds in today’s CSIO5* Grand Prix of Rotterdam to place 6th. Delighted with this performance in his first 5 star Grand Prix. Thanks as always to my partners at Keysoe International’
